Every Luma Learning tutor is carefully interviewed before joining our team. Tutors are selected based on their subject knowledge, academic background, teaching ability and ability to communicate effectively with young people. All tutors are DBS-checked and are expected to meet Luma Learning’s safeguarding and professional standards before being matched with a student.
Luma Learning offers online tuition across the UK, allowing students to learn from home through live, interactive lessons. Our online lessons use interactive teaching tools and digital whiteboards, giving students the same personalised support, explanations and exam-focused practice they would receive face-to-face.
No. We don’t believe in locking families into long-term contracts. Our tuition is designed to be flexible, so you can continue for as long as your child needs support. We simply ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling; lessons cancelled within 24 hours remain chargeable.
Yes. Choose "Free trial lesson" on the enquiry form and we'll match your child with a tutor for a first lesson at no cost. If it's a good fit, you carry on; if not, there's nothing to pay.
